Google Posts a New Feature Launched for Google Local Listing. Google My Business is synonym to/for Google My Business – Google Local Listing, Google Local Business Listing, and Google Map Listing, so don’t get confuse.
Google recently provided an important update with a new feature Google Post in Google My Business.
Now business can write “Marketing Pitch” / a post with 100 to 300 words to grab searchers attention with pre-set goal or call to action (CTA) for each post. Goal could be to motivate searcher to – Grab an OFFER, Visit Your Website, Signup for News Letter, Buy a Product, Book an Event.
This new feature of “Google Post for Local Business Listing” is specifically about providing Posts feature to Local businesses that are using Google My Business dashboard and this feature is not available to brands via Google Plus (aka G+).

3. How to Use Google Post on Google My Business
Here I will guide you how write and publish your first Google Post on Google My Business.
Login to Google My Business Account
Select the account
Select the location for which you want to write the post
It will take you to the “Edit” mode of local listing
Click on “add photo”
It will open Dashboard with Left Sidebar
Click on “Post” – 2nd tab below “Home”
You will find an option “create post”
A window will pop up with following options:
a. Upload Image [ Use Square Image , but set your main content in 50% middle – leaving 25% from top and bottom , for best viewing on Local Listing Appearance on Desktop
b. Write your post in 100-300 words. Post must be relevant, specific and interesting to lure your prospect to grab the offer, signup for the event, visit your website etc.
c. You can make your post as an EVENT as well. Here you have an option for start date / time and end date /time
